This month I got paired up with Tracey from Just a Trace . Her blog if you don't already know, is super cute and has a couple weekly series like: 'WTF Wednesdays' and 'Adventures in dating' which are really fun to read.

She emailed and asked what Sondra and I like, I told her girly, anything to do with England, green or pink and anything 60's or 70's.

I instantly fell in love with the cute make-up bag and the Keep Calm tin that had tea in it. I also claimed the Eos lip balm which smells like heaven! Sondra loved the scarf and the earrings that matched the scarf! hahah

Hello, Spring...are you there?

 

So I don't know about where everyone else lives but where I live, Winter doesn't seem to be letting up! One day it seems like spring could be on its way and the next day it's a blizzard with -18 temperatures!! Naturally, My Mom and I decided to go for a nice walk... My dear friend Sondra however, happens to be in sunny Cuba!! That lucky little duck.

Shoppers Anonymous!

Ever since I was a little girl I've sort of had a shopping addiction. My parents used to say to me "you can never leave the store without something in your hand!" and that was very true! But I obviously learned that from somewhere, you aren't just born a compulsive shopper!! I still have this problem at the age of 20 where I go into a store and see so many things that I believe I need. But instead of buying it, now I carry around the item the whole time I'm in the store and then right at the last second decide 'Nope! I don't need this'. The crazy thing is that I don't even need to be buying things for myself.. I just love to buy things whether they're for Me or any other random person I can think of. I noticed that I'm getting much better at realizing 'need' versus 'want' but I think that because I'm a girl I'll always have that little voice in my head telling me "yeah, your closet will love this!"

                 

The beautiful NARS nail polish I walked away from at the store today even though, let's be honest, my nail polish collection could have totally benefited from it!

Spring Fever.

I think February is a sucky month. It's the coldest month and it seems to take forever even though it's also the shortest month! Since January my life has been filled with extremely cold weather, a lot of death (I've been to 3 funerals) and My Brother left for the Army. So even though I'm generally a lover of all things winter, I am so ready for spring. I'm done with wearing coats and scarves and having to decide which uncomfortable boots I'm going to wear. Instead I want to be wearing flip-flops and pretty dresses!!

Spring is one of my favourite times of year because days slowly get longer and sunsets start to become more prominent. My favourite things to do include, watching airplanes fly and watching the sun set. I'm a pretty simple bean.

Let's talk technology!

Recently I've come across what I believe to be my favourite app. I'm not really one for apps because I'm a little ADD and I get bored of them easily. I have all of the standard ones, Pinterest, Candy Crush, Flappy bird... but I don't usually go for anything else. I decided I wanted to learn a language (I decide this all the time and never follow through) so I went to the app store and I searched. I came across an app called Duolingo; looks like this:

It was free so I downloaded it! and then I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I download a lot of apps and 3 minutes later I delete them because they suck.
I decided to go with French because I already had a basic knowledge of it and my parents speak French. It's extremely user friendly and there's a little 'coach' that sends you notifications and/or emails when you haven't been on yet that day, to keep you on track. I've been on track since I downloaded it 8 days ago.

Basically, I love it and I would go into greater detail but I feel like you should just all go check it out for yourselves. Hopefully soon I'll be able to write a whole blog post in French!

This is just a quick walk through of how to follow us, or any other blog that is having issues with their GFC widget. Ours has been broken for months and we were stuck on unlucky number 13 forever.

 First, click this little blue Icon to pop out a new GFC window.. It should look like this...

Now click the little follow button in the top right corner and another window should pop up that looks like this...

Now you just click the Google button and from there every thing should be the same as it normally would for following with GFC.
